How to create your own self-hypnosis recordings

Happy New Year everyone!

Well, it’s January 4th, and time for me to make my self-hypnosis recordings again. I do this every year, after I write down my new years resolutions and I find it really helps me achieve my goals, fast. (It’s something I learned from when I was a practicing hypnotherapist for years, here in the Phoenix area)

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Write down TEN (10) POSITIVE SUGGESTIONS. (If you don’t know how to do that, you can visit this page on my hypnosis website that teaches yo how to do it. It’s for addictions, but you can use the videos to write suggestions for any goal at all…weight loss, etc….)
  2. Make sure your suggestions are all in the came category. For example, if you want to lose weight (like I do), then keep all your suggestions about losing weight. I do not recommend writing a ton of different suggestions about different topics, because then your subconscious mind will get confused. (As the old adage says, “Keep it simple, stupid.” 🙂
  3. Next, once you come up with TEN POSITIVE SUGGESTIONS (and remember, a positive suggestion is just one where you don’t use negative words, such as don’t, can’t, won’t, no, not, etc..) double them. Or better yet… even triple them. This means, write each suggestion two or three times in a row.
  4. Now that you have your suggestions written out (or typed out), get on your iPhone (or you can use any kind of phone that has a voice recorder app) and then record those suggestions.
  5. If you have a looping mechanism that lets you loop the suggestions for a good 30 minutes, then you can use that. But if you don’t, then j just keep reading the suggestions into your phone so you have at least 20 minutes worth of suggestions.
  6. This type of self-hypnosis works best if you listen to it when you’re going to bed at night and waking up in the morning (because your brain is already in the alpha state), but if you have something else going on…then you can listen to the recording during the day. All you have to do is go to a place where you can be quiet and still, and take in a few nice, quiet breaths first, to quiet the mind.
  7. Also, never, ever ever listen to them in the car, because the repetitious sound could lull you to sleep, and then you could wreck, and we don’t want that to happen! So only listen to them when you can sit or relax quietly for about 15-20 minutes.
  8. Write down TEN (10) POSITIVE SUGGESTIONS. (If you don’t know how to do that, you can visit this page on my hypnosis website that teaches yo how to do it. It’s for addictions, but you can use the videos to write suggestions for any goal at all…weight loss, etc….)
