Sorry for the confusion in “writer’s voice” earlier. Someone wanted me to write like a teenager for my blog, but even though it meant I’d probably make a lot of advertising money doing it, I just couldn’t do it.
( I know you meant well, but you’ll probably have to date someone with kids…and that’s just not me. Sorry! But it’s been a fun 12 hours…. 🙂 LOL!
Anyway, from this point forward, this blog shall remain adult-friendly. And when I say adult friendly…I mean adult friendly… 🙂
Seriously, though….I want this blog to be a place for everyone to be able to come and enjoy, but I especially want this to be a blog one for single, straight girls who are sick and tired of feeling like they have to be coupled up with someone, just to go out and enjoy a fun night on the town. That’s bullshit. Because let me tell you this…you don’t need to be coupled up with anyone to enjoy a fun night on the town.
I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve gone out by myself to bars to go hear a live band. (Ok, well honestly, not that many times…) BUT I should have done it more often. However, like you, I worried too much of what other people would think. But not anymore.
Something happens when you hit 50….(Ok, something happens when you hit 50 + 3…lol)….you just don’t give a crap of what people think about you anymore. And you shouldn’t, because the only person who really matters what you think….is you.
So as the saying goes….”Be yourself. Because everyone else is taken.”
So, let’s try last night’s blog post again…..
Oh my gosh, I am so excited! I just got a ticket for myself to Kenny Wayne Shepard for March 5th, in Scottsdale, at The Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale! Whoo hoo!
If there are any single girls out there who would like to meet me there for a fun night of dancing to the AWESOME, sexy sounds of Kenny Wayne Shepard…go buy yourself a ticket and meet me out there.
It kind of reminded me of the neatest live-music venue Denver that I never went to. (Long story! Lol. Most of you won’t understand…but one of you out there might. 🙂
Oh, and speaking of live music….last night, my friend (Terri Carr, the wife of my late-good friend Alan) and I saw a really great band called Dean Nelson at The Perch in downtown Chandler. After open mic night at ImprovMania, we just headed across the street. It was such a cool place…I had no idea that The Perch even existed, but I think it might be my favorite new place to listen to music in Chandler. Seriously!
Anyway…wow….who would have thought so many cool places existed in the Phoenix area…ImprovMania AND The Perch. 🙂
I don’t know why, but I just have a feeling 2022 is going to be an AWESOME year to be single and unattached.
Right girls? (And maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll be able to persuade some of the more shy, elible singe guys of Phoenix…(who never leave their homes)…to come out and join us for a night of comedy or dancing once in a while. 🙂
